Hieronymus’ Sitkoh Prince

When you show up to the dance on Friday night and you are surprised to find out that the crowd isn’t swinging to Brooks & Dun like you were expecting, there is only one thing to do, change those dance moves fast.

Just like your local dance party flavor, the King of Swing doesn’t always have the right moves for Alaskan waters.  As our Spring Steelhead season kicks off and you find yourself on that river 20 feet wide with low hanging shore brush, it is time to change up your moves.

Say hello to the Sitkoh Prince.  When the King of Swing goes to bed, the Prince gets all the Steelhead.

You can find Hieronymus’ Sitkoh Prince at any of Umpqua Feather Merchants specialty retailers.

Umpqua Signature Fly Designer Mark Hieronymus is going to be a big feature this year for us.  2014 marks the first year Mark’s patterns are available to those outside of Alaska.  We have worked with mark for over 8 years representing and fishing his patterns throughout Alaska.

Based in Juneau, Mark splits his time guiding, fishing, tying and holding down a position with Trout Unlimited’s Alaska Program as the Sportfish Outreach Coordinator for Southeast Alaska.

Stay Tuned for more on Mark in the coming months as we focus on many of his patterns that will put the tug in your choice of drug.
