We have only a couple weeks left to help conserve America’s last great salmon forest: The Tongass.

There are two key ways you can help. Both will take only a minute.

1. Add your voice today: If you have not done so already, please tell the U.S. Forest Service to modify the Tongass Land Management Plan so it conserves key areas for salmon and steelhead. Click here to act now!

2. Tell your friends: Take a moment to  share the action page on Facebook.

We need anglers, conservationists, commercial fishermen and all salmon-lovers from Alaska and beyond to tell the Forest Service that key areas within the Tongass need to be managed for their exceptional fish values FIRST.

In short, the Forest Service is revising the Tongass Forest Plan, which determines how the forest is managed. Scientists, fishermen and land managers have gotten together and identified more than 70 key watersheds within the Tongass that comprise the very best and most important habitat for trout and salmon. We want the Forest Service to know that we support increased conservation measures for these areas.

The Tongass is one of the few places in the world where wild salmon and trout still thrive. Thanks for helping us keep it that way.
